not every trans person WANTS to bind/tuck/get surgery
trans people do not have to fit ANY requirements to exist and be trans. there are no rules. you can dress and act and be however you want. you are GOOD just the way you are.
Hey friends beyond the binary! So I had this idea I’ve been thinking a lot about. I want to write a play called: 50 shades of Trans* cuz we’re not just one color.
It would be collecting stories of people all under the trans umbrella or devising the stories with an all trans* cast when I have the resources to do so in Chicago when I move.
Soooo my questions are What do u wish cis people would just get or understand? If we were to flip the script what questions would you ask cis people that would put your life in perspective for them? Are these questions you wished u were asked? Or are these questions u hate being asked?
All and all I want this peice to capture a variety of experiences to debunk the idea that there is a certain way to be when you don’t identify under the binary. My hope is to get the stories from a variety of experiences in order to do that. But these questions are a good start.
Feel free to private message me with answers!
u know when u look at someone so pure and u think “holy fuck i love u to death”, like u just wanna make sure they’re happy and healthy and u’d do anything they asked, like if they asked u to murder somebody u would in half a heartbeat?
Alice: Out of all the people that you’ve been with… why are you picking Jenny for this?
Shane: If I were to walk away from this I think she’d go off the deep end. So it is a choice between my happiness or hers. That’s how I see it.
Shane breaks my heart because she thinks she deserves Jenny’s manipulation. She doesn’t believe she deserves a healthy relationship. She leaves Carmen at the alter after witnessing her father cheating on his wife because she is afraid she will end up doing the exact same thing. When they first meet, Shane tells Paige, “I think you can do a lot better than me.” She leaves Molly after Molly’s mother tells her she’s unworthy of her. As much as she appears to be a swaggering confident character, she is actually riddled with tons of guilt and insecurity. And that fucks me up.
this whole thing is way too good to be giffed you need to expirience it
There are so many things that are TOP quality about this. The business with the mic rope. The bounding across the stage like an excited puppy or a newsie. The Voice™️ that is so synonymous with John, you know, the voice of a guy who sells ice cream at the soda fountain in the 50’s. The analogy itself.
It’s all so beautiful, such peak humor and content.
